In addition to the foreign women’s arrests, a 48-year-old man was fined for allowing performance artists on duty to mingle with patrons at the same establishment. The authorities conducted checks at public entertainment outlets and hotels in Geylang and other anti-vice operations in the area from June 18 to June 23.

Furthermore, seven women in Geylang, aged between 32 and 51, were arrested for offenses under the Women’s Charter 1961. A 20-year-old man was also arrested under the Societies Act 1966, and a 38-year-old man was taken into custody for failing to attend court.

These arrests and fines were part of a larger crackdown on vice activities in the Geylang area. The authorities remain committed to maintaining law and order, ensuring that all establishments comply with relevant regulations, and protecting the rights and welfare of both local and foreign workers.

The public is reminded to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. By working together, we can help keep our communities safe and secure.
