
A man sued his neighbour and claimed that he was harassed by his neighbour who lives two floors away for having Wifi with electromagnetic waves causing discomfort and distress.
The male resident Yan of the apartment claimed to be suffering from “electromagnetic wave hypersensitivity”, referring to the “harassment” of electromagnetic waves in the female neighbour’s unit separated by two floors.
The dispute occurred at Geylang East Avenue 2, the victim claimed that the Wifi has caused him “physical and mental torment”l. He also alleged that the neighbour Mr Tan deliberately installed a Wifi Jammer and multiple Wifi networks which generates electronic waves and harasses him.
According to Zaobao, the defence lawyer stated that there is no evidence that the defendant electromagnetic waves are the ones that affected him neither any evidence was presented that the “victim” was affected through radio jammers and wireless networks.

The man claimed that he was diagnosed by a French doctor that he suffered from such condition however he did not have any evidence presented to the court.
Investigations has revealed that the doctor who allegedly gave such a diagnostics was not in the fields of neurology and electromagnetic fields
