I never thought that my relationship with my girlfriend would end with me getting punched in the face by her father.
I never expected that she would be so ashamed of me that she wouldn’t even tell him the truth. But that’s exactly what happened.
It all started when I asked my girlfriend to introduce me to her father. He was a very traditional man and I knew that it would be a difficult task, but I thought that if I could get him to respect me, he would be less likely to disapprove of our relationship.
Little did I know that my girlfriend had not told her father about the other five guys she had dated before me. She had kept it a secret for fear of her father’s wrath.
When I met her father, he seemed kind enough and I thought that he liked me. But soon, he started asking questions about my past relationships and I started to get suspicious. He asked me if I had ever dated any girls before, and I told him the truth – I had dated five girls before my current girlfriend.
My girlfriend’s father was not pleased and started accusing me of “dirtying” his daughter
He was furious and immediately punched me in the face. I was shocked and didn’t know what to do. I was too embarrassed to tell him that I was actually his daughter’s sixth boyfriend.
My girlfriend was devastated. She had kept her past relationships a secret for so long, and now it was all out in the open. She was scared of what her father would do to her if he found out the truth.
I understand why she was scared. Her father is a very traditional man and he still thinks that his daughter is a “holy virgin” despite the fact that she is not. He has certain expectations for her and it would be difficult for him to accept the fact that she has had several relationships in the past.
My girlfriend and I are still together, but it’s been a difficult process. Her father is still angry with me and it has been hard for him to come to terms with the fact that his daughter is not as “pure” as he thought.
