A Tiktok user going by the handle of @sarawongg has posted on her page about an alleged incident that she faced while booking a hitch via messaging platform, Telegram.
She claims that she had initially booked her ride and got accepted by her hitch driver within five minutes and upon acceptance of the ride by the driver, he allegedly video called her under the pretext of checking if she was in the right location.
She then further mentions that she picked up the video call, only to see a guy at the end of the screen PCC-ing at her.
She urges everyone that uses Telegram Hitch to ask for their driver’s PayNow Number or carplate first.
In the comments section, she added that she had only one bad experience so far and that most hitch drivers that she have met have been really nice.
