A girl recounted a story that she experienced at an unnamed theatre in Singapore which she described as being old.
She said that she was a theatre actress and people would tell her that the theatre has been around for a long time and you need to respect it.
She was told that the 3rd and 4th floors were out of bounds, for some undisclosed reason.
She would press for answers but the elders would just tell her not to go there, without as much as an explanation.
Once, prior to her performance there, she had the urge to pee.
She was cued to go on stage in a few minutes but the call or nature was too urgent for her to resist, and she dashed towards the nearest toilet that was right next to the stage.
The toilet that she went into was on the floors that were out of bounds.
As she ran down the hallway, it was pitch black but it didn’t matter, she ran into the toilet and did her business.
She washed her hands and walked to the door, and just as she was about to reach out for the handle of the door, it opened by itself for her.
Thinking someone opened the door for her, she paid no heed to it and went on to perform on stage.
It was only later that she realised:
The door could only be opened from the inside and she was the only one in the toilet.
