An 18-year-old teenager was arrested for her suspected involvement for selling fake Apple Airpod on Carousell.
According to the police, multiple reports were lodged between 18 Jul 2020 to 04 Aug 2020. The victims claimed that the had been cheated by an online seller selling cheap Apple Airpod on Carousell.
According to the victims, the girl guaranteed them that all the Airpod she is selling is real and new. However, it was not the case when the victims received their purchase.
After investigations, the police managed to identify the girl and arrested her on 06 Aug 2020. She is believed to be involved in at least 10 cases of cheating. The total amount involved is said to be more than $28,000.
The girl will be charged in court today (08 Aug 2020), if convicted she will face a jail term up to 10 years, fined or both.
