I’m 20 this year and I recently took a pregnancy test for reasons…my biggest mistake was taking the test at home.

i thought i disposed everything and made sure that i left no trace behind. the next morning, i woke up to my mother shouting because she found a small, tiny blue plastic from my test kit.
she asked if i was pregnant, (i wasnt) and i pretended not to know what the plastic was.
its been weeks and we havent spoken to each other. what should i do?
context: my parents are super strict and very traditional. even the thought of taking a pregnancy test, birth control or the idea of having partners is downright sinful to them

- The healthy thing to do is to communicate to your mom. But realistically, most of us ignore it happened and hopefully we will move past it pretending it didn’t happen.
- You will always be their child to them, and under most circumstances, parents do sincerely want the best for their children even if it is limited to what they think “best” is. At some point you have to start putting your foot down and let them know you have grown up and can be responsible for your own choices.
