my bf broke up with me because I had to think about choosing him or my pet
Me and my bf have been together for 3 years. I knew he wanted to travel and that was something I wanted as well.
However I guess I didn’t realize until now that I wouldn’t be able to take my pet with me. So I’d either have to rehome her or keep her and end our relationship but because I even had to think about it he broke up with me.
I don’t think that’s a decision anyone could make in the moment. I’ve had her for 7 years. I can’t just get rid of her so easily and I think it’s unrealistic to expect that from someone. All I wanted was some time to think things over.
I understand his point about how me not picking him right away made it seem like I don’t care about him. That wasn’t my intention at all.
It’s just a lot to think about all at once and I needed a moment to think. I’m absolutely devastated. I feel so lost
