A girlshared how glad she feels being single, describing it as being “shook” because she can go whatever she wants.
Here is the story:
“I feel damn glad that I am single. I’m not the romantic type, romance means nothing to me. I don’t feel moved by romantic movies or songs. I don’t enjoy company, because I don’t like talking.
I don’t know why people are so desperate to be in a relationship. Single damn shiok ok. I can come home whatever time I want and not have to tell anyone why I’m home late or early.
Aircon temp can set whatever I want. TV can watch whatever I want. I can hog the whole queen size bed to myself and no need to listen to other people snoring at night. Music can play whatever I want.
No kids to spend money on so I can treat myself to what I want. I don’t want children, have no maternal instincts and they are expensive.
Don’t need to remember anniversaries or whatever stupid date. Chinese New year can receive angpow. No in laws to deal with. What’s not to like?
Some people say old already no one take care but even if you are in a relationship doesn’t gurantee you won’t be alone when you’re old.
Come join me la and stop whining about your relationship woes. Why inflict so much pain on yourself? Go end everything and have a drink and forget your troubles. Problem solved.
Don’t be ashamed of being single. Not everyone needs a partner, some people are just better off alone.”
