A Facebook user, Viana Pang, shared how she was at the ICA on 2 June at about 7.30am to collect her passport, after being told to come between 7.45am to 5pm.
She alleged that she had queued for 2 hours to get a queue-ticket to collect the passport, before being told to wait another 4-5 hours.
Here is what she said
So…. Time to collect passport *7/6 TUESDAY. GIVEN DATE.*
Last week 2/6, ICA officer gave us a receipt to collect our passports on (typo error): should be 7/6) 7/6. ICA officer also told us to come “anytime between 745am to 5pm and go straight to level 2, no need to queue. Show the receipts. Expected waiting time 2/3hrs!”
Yesterday was 7/6 Tuesday. We all took AM LEAVE leave. We had arrived at ICA 730.
1. ICA officer told us to queue to go level 2 for passport collection. The queue was mere IMPOSSIBLE! One officer saw my mum was in pain (she had an operation on Monday 5/6), decided to allow us to go level.
2. At level 2, took us another 50mins to queue to be issued queue tickets for collection. By then it was already 847am. Officer told us to expect waiting time 2-3hrs, before we can collect our passports.
3. At 1pm, we are still waiting to collect our passports. Officer told us to wait for another 4hrs!!!
We left and returned to work!! This is totally not acceptable.
Queue from 730am to 845am to 1pm. Still waiting. Told to wait another 4/5 hrs.
