It was a typical Thursday night when I received a message on Facebook from a female acquaintance of mine.
She was a woman I had met at a party a few years back, and we had kept in touch. She asked me how my day was going, and I replied with a friendly greeting.
However, after a few minutes of small talk, she made a statement that left me completely baffled. She stated that she refused to date men who drove Japanese cars.
She said that she simply found them too boring and poor.
At first, I was taken aback by her statement. I had always believed that it was important to be open-minded about people’s choices and preferences. Furthermore, I thought that this kind of statement was a tad outdated. After all, Japanese cars are some of the most reliable vehicles on the road.
But, I decided to take the high road and keep the conversation going. I asked her why she had such a strong opinion about Japanese cars, and she elaborated on her feelings. She said that she felt that Japanese cars were too “Common” and that she wanted to date someone who drove something a bit more interesting.
This was when I decided to troll her an alternative. I told her that I owned a Chery QQ, which is a Chinese car. I explained that while it was not nearly as expensive as a Japanese car, it was still reliable and a great option for someone looking for an inexpensive vehicle.
To my surprise, she was so dumb that did not know that it was a cheap cheap China car. I was excited by her response cause she thought it’s a European car. I told her about the car’s reliability, affordability, and fuel economy.
My message seemed to have an effect, as she replied with a message expressing interest in the car. She asked me to bring it to a party that weekend, so she could take it for a spin.
I was excited by her interest as it is going to be a major troll joke, and I quickly agreed to her request. That weekend, I drove my Chery QQ to the party and showed it off to her. She took it for a test drive and seemed to enjoy it.
After she drove it she gave compliments but her face changed after I told her that it is a cheap china car.
