A girl shared how her friend’s father started following her on Instagram and liking all of her bikini photos.
Here is the story
My friend’s dad is divorced, handsome, and probably in his late 40s. We’ve always been friendly but never particularly close.
Recently I was surprised to see that he added me on Instagram.
Then I was even more surprised when he started going back and “liking” a bunch of my old pictures, including several bikini pics.
I don’t know whether to be creeped out or flattered. Is it possible he is trying to send a signal? Or do you think he just doesn’t know how Instagram works?
Netizens’ comments
- I see social media and the internet act like alcohol where people lose their inhibitions with any social norms and rules go out the window.
People feel that just because they are not facing the other person in person then they can say anything especially if they are anonymous.
Frankly I would block the guy. Is the kind of attention you want?
- Yes this! People have no respect, self or otherwise, towards each other. Disappointing to see so little humanity when the interwebs can be used for such good.
As for this dad in particular if it were just one specific pic I can see it being a mistake or whatever, but regardless of it being a heart or like it’s pretty synonymous what that means on social media. He knew what he was doing.
You need to do whatever you think is best to handle that. Good luck and stay safe! 😊
