A TikTok user, @kaitlynnbui, shared a video online s showing her parents strongly objecting to her decision to major in an art degree.
Bui was seen in the video with tears in her eyes as she ate her dinner, while her parents went on a tirade and told her that she will struggle to survive with her art degree.
Her mother was seen in the video asking how she is going to support herself, and Bui then joked (with tears still in her eyes) that she will find a rich husband.
Her mother then retorted that she was too short and small and has “nothing in comparison to others”, while her father then chimed in, telling her to “stop dreaming” and “live with the reality”.
Bui then explained that she is in the “post-production track” and that she “sits in a room and edits s—“, before telling her parents to leave her alone and she’ll figure it out.
Bui then took out her frustration on a juice box as she cried some more because she couldn’t find the straw.
