A netizen has shared on social media that the Gojek app allegedly quoted him a price of $3,020 for a premium ride from Bishan to East Coast.
The distance between the two destinations is about 11km according to Google Maps and the normal GoCar price for this trip was $21 at that time.
This has led to netizens making jokes about the Gojek app, calling it “GoBankrupt”, “GoTakeBusInstead”, “GoRekt”, “GoBrokenAlgoJek”, “GoJerk” and even saying that with that amount charged, you can even take a plane to Dubai.
A netizen added that this could well be a glitch in the system as GoCar Premium is not available in Singapore.
Riders who ride frequently on the Gojek platform are also advised to check before booking the ride even though it is not available in Singapore so as not to have the trouble of getting the amount deducted and also having to go through the trouble of the refund process.
