The cash payouts are part of the packages to help offset the rising costs of living from the impending GST hike that was announced.

OCBC customers received their cash payouts yesterday (1 December), while some DBS and POSB customers have also since received their payouts earlier today (2 December).

The payouts were disseminated via PayNow or iBanking accounts that are linked to the customer’s NRIC, while those who have opted for bank transfers will need to wait a little longer.

Following the news of the payouts being given out, the DBS iBanking app was down due to heavy traffic.
