GRAB PLANS TO IMPOSE 30-CENT PLATFORM FEE ON RIDE-HAILING SERVICES

Grab has recently made a request to the Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) as it plans to impose a 30-cent platform fee for its ride-hailing services in Singapore.

The inclusion of the fee for every ride will be 32 cents in total which includes Goods and Services Tax. Grab has stated that the fee would help maintain and improve safety measures and cover relevant operating cost

Mr Chan, managing direct for transport stated ” The platform fee will enable us to maintain and improve safety measures, cover other relevant operating costs as well as look after our driver-partners’ welfare sustainably.”
