A video emerged online showing a Grabfood deliveryman delivering food to the customer in a Rolls Royce, wearing a Richard Mille watch worth about $500,000.

He was seen in the video pulling up in the extravagant car, as the cameraman (who is the customer) approached him to collect his order.

The deliveryman then handed the customer’s food to him, flashing his Richard Mille watch that is probably worth more than my entire house and life savings combined.

The cameraman was heard in the video exclaiming: “Wow, nowadays drive Grab in branded cars ah?”

He then asked the driver if driving Grab can really make money these days, to which the driver said no.

He further explained that he is in the property line and that that is where he is making his money.

The cameraman then asked if he could see his branded watch, asking him how much it costs.

The driver then said not much, adding that it only costs about $400k to $500k.

He then cut short the conversation and said that he has other matters to attend to.

Response to M’sians who looked down on delivery riders

In case it isn’t obvious by now, the video was a parody skit presumably in response to the Malaysian property agent who posted a video looking down on delivery riders.

The woman also caught the ire of local Facebook superstar Wang Lei.

The woman, Maggie Gong, commented on a Facebook live stream held on 7 November saying that many people are driving Grab due to the bad economy.

She then tried to soften her barbs by saying that she’s not looking down on private-hire drivers, but then she went on to look down on private-hire drivers saying that they can’t learn anything and can’t meet anyone.

She asked: “How rich can they be?”

Fong then proceeded to mock delivery riders, using her hands to pretend that she was riding a bike before walking around in that position and making motorcycle sounds with her mouth.

She said that those people have no future and are “useless”.
