GROUP SEEN CLEANING CAR AND THROWING USED TISSUE INTO LONGKANG

A video emerged online showing a group of about 9 people gathering around a couple of cars, while three of them started cleaning the blue car with tissues.

They then threw the used tissues into the drain nearby after finishing cleaning the car.

The man then continued cleaning the back of the car with tissues, before disposing of another used tissue into the drain.

He then tried to kick the used tissues further down into the drain.

The video was shared by a netizen, Wendy Chan, onto Hardwarezone forum and onto YouTube.

Potential penalties

Littering is an offence in Singapore and is defined as dropping, placing or throwing any article or thing in a public place except a rubbish bin.

Persons caught littering face a fine of up to $2,000 for the first offence as well as the possibility of Corrective Work Order.
