I never expected that one day my wife would come home to find me with another woman in our living room. It had been a regular Saturday morning.
She went out to do some shopping and I decided to take the opportunity to bring my mistress over. I had been having an affair with her for a while, but never been so bold as to bring her to my house while my wife was away.
I thought my wife was gone for long enough that I would have plenty of time to get my mistress out of the house before she returned. We were getting it on on the sofa in the living room, when suddenly I heard the front door open.
My heart stopped. I knew my wife was home.
My mistress jumped up and ran to hide while I quickly scrambled to think of an excuse. My wife was standing in the doorway looking at me with a confused and angry expression.
I stammered out some excuse about how I was expecting a friend to drop by and I must have gotten the time wrong.
My wife didn’t believe me. She accused me of lying and cheating on her. I had to admit that I was wrong and that I had been seeing someone else. I was relieved when she didn’t make a scene, but instead asked me to leave. I felt terrible, but I knew it was best for both of us.
I grabbed my things and drove away. I had no idea what would happen to my marriage or my relationship with my mistress. I had made a big mistake and I knew it. I just hoped that my wife would find it in her heart to forgive me and that I could somehow make it up to her.
