A guy shared a story of how he messed up once during his Secondary school days as he had a chance to ask his crush out but did not catch up on her hint and because of his mistake, she’s the one who got away.
Here is the story
“So this happened during my secondary school days when I went to a McDonald’s, ordered a cheeseburger and uploaded it on my story on Instagram.
About an hour later, I got a notification saying my crush had replied to my story. So being socially awkward and excited at the same time, I opened it up.
It was actually a message saying she wants to eat it too. I replied, “Oh yeah it’s been a long and tiring day so I rewarded myself” then she replied, “Yeah it’s been a while since I have eaten a cheeseburger” to which again I replied, “Me too. I haven’t had one in a long while. It’s soo good” to which basically she replied with a couple of laughing emojis.
It was only like a few hours later, I realised she might’ve wanted me to make the first move in asking her out on a date.
I feel pretty stupid right now. I had a chance and I blew it. We still react and reply to each other’s stories after that but I’m still regretting the opportunity lost.
It had been a few years since my secondary school time and she is now attached to someone else while I am still single and available.
Maybe if I had asked her out to have a McDonald’s I would be the other half that she posts and talks about on her social media every now and then.
Congratulations to the other guy though, his braveness had got him the girl and I hope that they remain happy as what is seen on social media.”
