My (25f) boyfriend (25m) won’t go to work.
I really don’t know what to do. I am a student and don’t make any money, so I can’t support more than just myself and my dog for the most part.
My boyfriend has been no-call no-showing at his work for a couple weeks now does nothing but stay home. I’m really concerned about his mental health, his job status, and paying rent. I know if he keeps this up he will probably get fired.
He seems more quiet whenever I ask him what’s going on. I’ve told him I’d help look for other jobs if this one isn’t good for him anymore, but he says no. I can’t help him because he will not open up to me about this for whatever reason.
I have honestly considered breaking up with him because this isn’t the first time he’s been like this. It’s probably a mental health thing, and I’d feel like a huge a-hole for breaking up with someone just because they’re sad or down.
But his work ethic has been awful for the past year and a half, and it turns me off and makes me worried about our future and if this will be a regular thing. (There are a few more small reasons and it wouldn’t be a breakup just because he skips work, but I don’t know if this is the breaking point? I really do love him and we’ve been together for almost 5 years,and I don’t want to lose him. 🙁 )
I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what to say. Please help.
