Many times, pax worry that the TD will take them on a merry-go-round route. Today, I want to give everyone a lesson on Mathematics to proof that TDs wouldn’t prefer to do that.
Consider the below scenario (CDG Sonata Taxi)
1) Normal Hour Start Fare: $3.20 (1st km)
– $0.32/0.1km
– $1.28/0.4km
2) Peak Hour Start Fare: $3.20+$0.80 = $4.00 (1st km)
– $0.40/0.1km
– $1.60/0.4km

3) Midnight Start Fare: $3.20+$1.60 = $4.80 (1st km)
– $0.48/0.1km
– $1.92/0.4km
After 1st km, taxi fare increment is $0.22/0.4km.
Who would want to drive at $0.22/0.4km if I can earn more from the 1st km Start Fare?
So it’s actually more worthwhile dropping pax ASAP for next pax!
