It was a typical Friday night in Singapore, and I was out with my buddies for a few drinks at the usual pub.
After a few beers, we started talking about our wild nights out, and one of my friends mentioned that he had recently been to JB for a “better experience and price than Geylang.”
At first, I was a bit taken aback.
I had heard of people visiting Geylang for the infamous nightlife, but I had never heard of anyone going to JB for the same purpose. My friend proceeded to explain that he had gone to JB with some of his friends, and they had all been able to find ‘chickens’ there at a much cheaper rate than what they could find in Geylang.
I was intrigued and asked him to tell me more. He said that he had gone to a massage parlour in JB, and they had all been able to get some “extra services” from the masseuses there.
He said that the experience was great, and that the women were friendly and accommodating. He also said that the prices were much lower than what he had seen in Geylang.
I was still a bit skeptical, so I asked him for details. He said that he had paid about $60 for an hour of massage with “extras” and that he was very satisfied with the experience. He said that he had been able to find a few other massage parlors in JB that offered similar services and that the prices there were lower than what he had seen in Geylang.
At this point, I was starting to get interested. I had always heard of people going to Geylang for the nightlife, but I had never heard of anyone going to JB for the same purpose. I asked my friend if he would be willing to take me there to check it out for myself.
He agreed, and we set off for JB the following night. Upon arriving in JB, we went to a massage parlors and sure enough, my friend was right. The prices were much lower than what I had seen in Geylang, and the services were much more accommodating.
