Loh Soon Fatt, 22-years-old, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal intimidation and one count of breaching a Personal Protection Order (PPO).
Another 3 counts of drug related charges were considered during his sentencing and he was also convicted on 2 counts of abusing methamphetamine.
He was sentenced to 1 year and 4 weeks of imprisonment on 6 October.
What happened?
In 2020, Loh harassed his 58-year-old adoptive other who was trying to sleep.
He also kicked her after she refused to give him money for a drivers’ license, in a separate incident.
Loh was then sentenced to 2 weeks of detention order, where he was locked up in prison but it didn’t come with a criminal record.
The victim had a PPO taken against him.
On 7 February earlier this year, Loh barged into the victim’s flat and demanded $5,000 from her to pay his bills.
She told him that she doesn’t earn a lot and didn’t have the money, to which Loh then threatened to kill her.
He asked her to mortgage her flat, and his adoptive mother then pretended to agree to because she was scared he would hurt her.
A police report was then made by the victim.
