An 18-year-old Malaysian boy was electrocuted to death at a telecommunication substation in Kampung Senangeh, Sarawak.
His body was discovered by members of the public, who alerted the authorities, according to Samarahan district police chief DSP Brodie Brangka.
He said that they found a fully-clothed man lying by the fence of the substation site, according to Metro Malaysia.
The police believe that the boy was stealing cables at the site, and said that he had been trying to cut the cables of the substation.
DSP Brodie added that the deceased had 5 previous criminal records relating to theft, drugs and burglary, and that they have classified the case as “sudden death”.
His body has been sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for an autopsy.
