HAIR SALON IN WHAMPOA CHARGE CUSTOMER $156 TO DYE HAIR TWICE, PUSHED TO SIGN MEMBER

A local hair salon is under fire after a customer alleged that she was misled and overcharged for services at their Whampoa Dr location. The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about the salon’s business practices.

The customer alleges that the hairstylist failed to explain that this would be a separate payment, and her mother was shocked to be charged a total of $156 ($68 for the initial dye + $88 for the additional dye). But that wasn’t all – the salon then pushed her mother to sign up for a membership, which cost a whopping $174.

The membership came with no expiry date or any clear terms, just a piece of card stating the amount. The customer’s mother was rushed into paying a total of $330 without fully understanding what she was getting.

What’s more disturbing is that the salon’s services failed to deliver the desired results. The customer’s mother reported that her hair looked no different after the treatment, leaving her feeling frustrated and disappointed.

This incident has raised questions about the salon’s transparency and accountability. “It’s unacceptable for a business to take advantage of customers like this,” said the customer. “My mom was misled and overcharged, and it’s not right.”

Here is what the netizen wrote:

*SCAM SHOP DO NOT GO!*

My mum went in the afternoon. She requested for colour – Coffee red. But came with back with same hair colour with slight red. She was told $68. Thats when she agreed to the service. After an hour, she was told that the colour didnt make it. Will need to do another dye which is $88. The hairstylist did not explain further to my mum that it would be a separate payment.

Therefore, after the service. She was charged $68 + $88 = $156. And was told to make membership of $174. No expiry date or any statement. Just a piece of card that state the amount. So my mom paid a total of $156 + $174 = $330. The hairstylist did not explain further to my mom and my mom did not know what she was paying for as the shop was rushing to closing.

At the end, my mom’s hair has no difference.
