A 23-year-old man was selling hamsters online and posted some advertisements to attract customers.
A 14-year-old girl reached out to Lim Wei Yi’s online advertisement and Lim sold her a pet hamster. Two months later the girl reached out to Lim to get more hamsters and Lim invited the girl to his home to collect the hamsters.
Upon her arrival, she was ushered into Lim’s room and the transaction took place. Lim then started asking her if she likes hugs, before she could respond Lim went up and hug her and started touching her breast and rub his groin against the girl’s body.
The who was worried wanted to leave and but Lim told her to sit on the bed and asked if the girl like sex but he backed off later telling her that he was joking.
The incident was reported to the Police and Lim told the police that he was attracted to the girl. But later in court, he said that he only get close to the girl to examine the gender of the hamster.
Lim will be back in court for his sentencing on September 17.
He can be jailed for 5 years and/or fined up to SGD$10,000 for his crimes.
