A woman had to quickly stopped her daughter from eating hawthorne flakes after she notice that the candy look weird. Upon closer inspection she noticed that there were black spots on it. Netizens who saw the photos quickly confirmed that the snack is moldy.

Hi ladies and gentlemen, may i check is it common to see such yucky stuffs on these type of haw flakes ??? I just bought it 2 days ago from a provision shop and while my daughter was eating it. She felt something amiss as in why were the shapes so weird..then immediately i stopped her … i thought it supposed to be smooth n no black black stuffs…Parents must take note when buying these for the kids..i didnt take note of it and my kids took n ate it.. I felt so guilty now …haiz..hope the company will take note of it..
But she had ate it at least 4 pieces of it… i supposed they were yucky fungus..anybody encounter the same situation before?

- We ate this as a child. I would just like to strongly advise you from eating this or giving this to your child whether it is mouldy or not. This is really unhealthy and is classified as junk food. While not limited to this, you may wish to check out its ingredients.
- You should bring them back to show the shop owner or staff to where they were purchased to prevent from selling
- If shop didn’t keep well very easy turn mouldy as the paper just wrap around only.
- It’s already moldy!
