Heavier punishment for people evading toll fee at checkpoint

From 1 August onward heavier penalties will be introduce for vehicle who evade toll fee at both Tuas and Woodlands Checkpoint. A composition sum of $50 up from the $10 currently imposed.

Repeat offenders will face even heavier penalty up to $100 and those who fail to pay the composition sum are liable to a fine not exceeding S$1,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months.
