HIT AND RUN BY MOTORCYCLE ON BKE, DAMAGES CAR THEN RIDES AWAY

A netizen shared a video showing his car being hit by a motorcyclist in a hit and run accident, and appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The incident happened on 27 April at about 7.15am, on the BKE exiting towards KJE.

Here is what he said

“Appealing for witnesses: Hi all, my car have been hit and run by a motorcycle yesterday 27/04/2022 @0715hrs while exiting from BKE to KJE.

My footage does not capture the motorcycle’s plate number. Anyone have video footage would be much appreciated.”

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.
