The cam car was seen in the video coming to a halt when the offending driver failed to slow down and rear-ended the car.

After the accident, the cam car then drove forward and the cam car driver then alighted from his vehicle to assess the damage done to his vehicle.

The hit-and-run driver was then seen turning his vehicle, looking like the offending driver was going to alight, but instead, the driver then fled the scene.

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.
