According to a netizen, a 72-year-old woman was injured after an unfortunate encounter with a Deliveroo rider.
The woman suffers from very bad bruising and a fracture. The netizens said that the incident happened on the 30th March 2020 along Toa Payoh Lorong 1 near Phipilip APAC Centre.
The elderly woman was walking along Lorong 1 when a deliveroo rider speeds pass, and the handle of the bicycle latched on and hooked the elderly’s woman umbrella.
This caused the elderly woman to fall on the ground, she hit her jaw and shoulders when she landed and her gums were bleeding.
Deliveroo Rider Tries To Escape
A bystander witness the incident and grabbed on to the bicycle to prevent the rider from leaving.
When the bystander tried to help the elderly woman get up, the Deliveroo took the opportunity and escaped.
The incident has since been reported to the police.
According to Mothership.sg, the rider has been suspended by Deliveroo.
