The incident happened on 26 May at a multi-storey carpark at Tekka Market, at about 1.19pm and was captured on the dashcam of the victim’s car.

Here is what the netizen said

parked my car at Tekka Market carpark . When i came back i realised the driver side front bumper was badly scratched.

I realised it must have been a car next to mine. When i viewed my dashcam i found out that the car parked next to mine had hit my car when leaving the lot. But choose to ignore and drove off.

Potential penalties

It is a punishable offence to leave the scene of an accident, which is considered a hit-and-run – upon conviction, first-time offenders face a fine of up to $3,000 or a jail term of up to 12 months.
