Many people have been wanting to travel and hope that there will be a travel bubble soon.
However, Hong Kong lawmakers are urging for the plan of travel bubble to get ditched. Their policy stands at having zero infections before there can be any kind of travel.
There have already been two delays since the SG-HK travel bubble arrangements.
Alice Mak of the Federation of Trade Unions said that the risk is too high even though tourism could help boost the economy but the policy stands at “Covid zero”.
Alice Mak: “For places that don’t aim to achieve zero infections but hope to live with the virus, we should not have a travel bubble with them,”
Their priority is to make travel available with mainland China and they do not want to jeopardise their travel plans with China.
