The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has suspended the food business operations of HKP Food Technology Pte Ltd (located at Blk 3015 Bedok North St 5 #04-16/17 Shimei East Kitchen), a food manufacturer which supplies food products to Ho Kee Pau’s retail outlets, with effect from 30 June 2021 until further notice.
The manufacturer which supplies its food to Ho Kee Pau’s retail outlet at 23 Serangoon Central, NEX, on 30 June 2021 has received a recall of the products and its currently not operating.
During an inspection of the facilities on June 30, 2021, significant pest infestations, including cockroaches and mouse droppings, were discovered in the food preparation and assembly areas.
The premises were also discovered to be in disarray.
For the interest of public health, the authorities ordered the recall of all food in the store and instructed the catering suppliers involved to take necessary measures to improve the cleanliness of their premises.
The authorities also advise consumers not to eat the food purchased from the branch recent days.
