Bangkok Police Arrest Trio for Selling Drug-Laced E-Cigarettes

In a significant crackdown on illegal drug trafficking, Bangkok police arrested three individuals on June 20, 2025, for selling e-cigarette liquids laced with narcotics. The suspects, identified as 37-year-old Netnapa, 46-year-old Thanakorn, and 33-year-old Pratchaya, were apprehended after a thorough investigation prompted by community complaints regarding the illegal sale of drug-infused vaping products.

Investigation and Arrest

The operation began when residents of Soi Prasert Manukitch 37 in the Nawamin district reported suspicious activities related to the sale of e-cigarettes and drugs in their area. Acting on these tips, police launched an investigation that led them to Netnapa, who appeared to be under the influence of narcotics at the time of her arrest. A search of her belongings revealed e-cigarette liquids, which prompted further inquiries into the operation.

As the investigation progressed, authorities uncovered a disturbing network selling drug-laced products disguised as ordinary vaping liquids. The police traced the operation to two residences in the Tharang area of Bang Khen district, where they found Pratchaya in possession of a significant quantity of e-cigarette liquids and vaping equipment.

Supplier and Drug Mixing Techniques

During questioning, Pratchaya confessed to purchasing the e-cigarette liquids and devices from a Chinese supplier, who had taught him how to mix narcotics into the e-cigarette “pods.” These tainted products were then marketed and sold online to unsuspecting customers, raising serious concerns about public safety, particularly among younger individuals.

Thanakorn was also linked to the illegal operation, although police are still determining his specific role within the distribution network. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities gathering more evidence and seeking to identify additional suspects involved in this dangerous scheme.

Public Safety Concerns

The suspects have been taken into custody and transferred to the Khok Kram Police Station for further legal proceedings. Police officials have vowed to intensify efforts to combat the growing trend of illegal drug-laced e-cigarettes, which pose significant risks to public health and safety.

As the investigation unfolds, authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to illegal vaping products. The rise of drug-laced e-cigarettes highlights the increasing dangers associated with online drug trafficking in Bangkok, prompting a call for greater awareness and preventive measures within the community.
