A van driver was seen in a video on Facebook driving against traffic flow at a multi-storey carpark in Clementi and hitting 3 cars will trying to park the vehicle.
The incident took place on 24 June at about 11.10pm, at a multi-storey carpark at Block 440 Clementi Avenue 3.
The video starts with the white van making a right turn into the car park. However, what becomes immediately apparent is that the van is driving against the flow of traffic, as indicated by the road markings.
Ignoring the designated direction, the van abruptly swerves to the left and crashes into a parked car, forcing it to come to an immediate stop.
The driver, dressed in black, steps out of the van to assess the damage caused by the collision. After a brief inspection, the driver returns to the vehicle and reverses it, adding to the chaotic scene.
In the subsequent sequence, the white van attempts to reverse into a parking space beside a red car. Unfortunately, instead of successfully parking, the van collides with the red car during the maneuver.
The van’s passenger emerges from the vehicle to examine the extent of the damage caused by the collision. After a cursory inspection, the passenger returns to the van, and the journey continues.
At this point, a black car approaches the stationary white van from the front, honking its horn to signal the obstruction. The van then moves to the right to allow the black car to pass, pulling into a parking space facing the front. However, the van again reverses into the middle of the lane and pauses momentarily.
In an act that hints at frustration or resignation, the driver raises a hand to their head. Without further ado, the van reverses once more, this time colliding with a grey car.
For the third time, one of the van’s occupants alights from the vehicle to inspect the newly damaged car. It is once again the driver who takes on this responsibility.
Meanwhile, another person emerges from the white van, adding to the confusion surrounding the incident.
Unfortunately, the video abruptly ends, leaving the subsequent actions of the individuals involved uncertain. It remains unclear whether they left the scene or attempted to park again.
