Following the heavy floods caused by overflowing drains due to the downpour this morning, at the junction of Tampines Avenue 10 and Pasir Ris Drive 12, the SCDF were activated to the scene.

Motorists and stranded passengers stuck in the flood, from about 13 vehicles, were evacuated by SCDF officers.
One person was conveyed to Changi General Hospital after complaining of pains in the leg, while 5 more persons were brought to safety.
The affected vehicles were partially submerged at the junction, unable to move.
About 25 people managed to evacuate their vehicles prior to the arrival of the SCDF officers.

Major traffic jams were also seen in other parts of Singapore because of the heavy rains.
