I told him that since it’s expired, it should be taken down and not continue to sell. He and his wife gotten angry with me and insist on returning me money, which is not an issue… I just want them to know that since the spices is expired, they should not sell as it’s in an old estate with many elderly residents. Some commenters suggested reporting the shop to the authorities, while others accused the Netizen of seeking attention or being a troublemaker. Despite the criticism, Netizen stood by their actions and emphasized the importance of checking expiry dates and ensuring food safety.

It is worth noting that selling expired food products is illegal in many jurisdictions, and consumers have the right to demand safe and quality products. While it is understandable that small businesses may face challenges in competing with larger supermarkets, this does not excuse the sale of expired products. Consumers should always check the expiry dates and condition of the products they purchase, and businesses should prioritize food safety and quality to maintain their reputation and customer loyalty.
