A netizen has shared his unpleasant experience on social media after he was played out by a company HR.
According to his post, he was accepted by a company to start work on the 16 Nov 2020. However, just days before he even started work he had received a call from the hiring manager telling him that the company decided to withdraw his job offer.
The reason behind the withdrawal was because the manager was unable to accept the fact that the man has to take night classes.
In his post:
“On 9th November 2020, I received a call from company A Hiring Manager and was offered a job I applied for. I was still serving my noticed in Company B, and my last day is on 23rd November.
Company A asked me if I can leave company B early to start work on 16 Nov and I requested from company B for early released. Company B acknowledged. I was overjoyed and I informed Company A regards to my early released.
On 10th November, I received a letter of offer in an email from Company A and I accepted, signed and acknowledged the offer. However, on 12th November, the Hiring Manager called me and inform of her decision to recede the offer. She also mentioned that I will be compensated for 1 days’ pay as in return of damage caused.
Devastated, I went to the office which situated at S9 Building, 55 Serangoon North Ave 4 #05 and spoke to the hiring manager.
Her reason for withdrawal is that I am currently taking night classes and she’s unable to accept. I understood and respect her decision but she could have told me earlier before I asked for early released from company B.
When I emailed her about the compensation, she went missing. When I called the office, she did not want to take my call. I was thinking if I should go down to the office since it’s not too far from my place.
Now I am unemployed and because of company A, I had to request early release which I could have served the notice and at least earn that 1 weeks’ pay.
*LATEST UPDATE*
Dishonourable HR from yeobuild home repair mentioned in the email that will get back to me nearer to 5th dec , however went missing and no response from email. Shame on the company for hiring such HR.“
