A chain collision involving 2 lorries and 2 cars took place at the Woodlands Causeway earlier today (13 October), resulting in two out of three lanes being blocked.
Videos of the accident emerged online showing the lorry failing to come to a stop when approaching the cars that were ahead of it.
Photos also emerged online, showing a grey-coloured car being crushed into smithereens, as well as having its boot completely destroyed – the lorry was also seen wedged into the back of the vehicle.
Sin Chew Daily reported that the accident, which involved 2 lorries and 2 cars, took place this morning at about 9am, with the driver of the grey car being trapped in his seat.
11 firemen and 3 rescue vehicles were dispatched to the scene and the driver was then freed from the car and sent to hospital for treatment, according to the Johor State Fire and Rescue Department.
ICA also released an update on Facebook at about 11am advising motorists about heavy departure traffic at the Woodlands Checkpoint.
