Today (27 Jul 2020), marks the re-opening of the Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple located at Waterloo Street. Devotees waited for 4 months for the re-opening since its closure back in Mar 2020.

Devotees started to queue as earlier as 7 AM in the morning in order to offer their prayers. Queue barrier was set up outside the temple while safe distancing was observed. All visitors were required to scan the safe entry code and have their temperature taken before entering the temple.
To prevent the temple from overcrowding, only 50 devotees were allowed to be in the compound at any one time. The waiting time to enter the temple stretches between 20 to 40 mins.
