Husband thinks I’m “too fat”
Because of quarantine and not being able to go out as much I’ve gained some weight over the past 2 years.
My husband has not been vocal about it until recently when he out of no where started to insult me and my weight.
He calls me fat and says things like “I can’t believe I chose this” when I walk into the kitchen in the morning.
I don’t feel like I’m overweight, I’m just not as skinny as I used to be. I’ve asked him to stop but he thinks I’m just joking.
He constantly jokes about finding a younger and prettier girl than me unless I lose weight and I’m starting to think he’s being serious.
Idk what to tell him to make him understand it’s hurtful. It’s been a few weeks where he’s constantly making remarks on my weight and it’s starting to affect me more and more.
I don’t want to be mean to him and get angry so I don’t know how to tell him to stop to make him take it seriously.
To everyone asking: I’ve gone from 165cm, 55kg to 65kg. I still feel fine and usually I actually feel better than I used to which I’ve told him, but he says I’m still overweight.

Your first mistake is this
“I don’t want to be mean to him and get angry”.
Time to stand up for your dignity. Let him know exactly how hurtful his words and actions are. Be direct.
