My husband had always been obsessed with cars, but recently his obsession had become even more extreme.
He was constantly spending money on car parts to modify his ride and didn’t seem to care if we had enough money to pay our bills. I had tried to talk to him about it, but he always brushed me off and told me not to worry.
Spent almost all the money in our account on car parts
Unfortunately, this time it had gone too far. When I checked our bank account, I realized that he had spent thousands of dollars on car parts and we did not have enough for our bills.
I confronted him about it, but he just shrugged it off and said that he had to do it because his car was his pride and joy.
I was angry and frustrated with him and I knew that we needed to make some serious changes. I told him that he needed to stop spending money on car parts and start focusing on the important things, like paying our bills.
He reluctantly agreed, but I could tell that he was still not taking it seriously.
Maxed out our credit card for rainy days on car parts as well
A few weeks later, I was still trying to figure out how we were going to get out of this financial mess when I received a letter from the bank.
It was the monthly statement for the credit card which my husband and I had for rainy days and the card was maxed out due to my husband taking it to spend on car parts.
I was so angry and hurt that I didn’t even want to talk to him. I just wanted him to realize what he had done and that we were now in a lot of trouble because of him.
But he still didn’t seem to care. He just kept saying that it was all going to be okay and that he would figure something out.
We were in debt till the bank wanted to take legal action against us
A while later, I received another letter from the bank. This time they were warning legal actions if we didn’t pay our bills.
I was devastated. I had worked so hard to build a home for my family and now it was all going to be taken away because of my husband’s reckless spending.
I confronted him again and begged him to stop spending money on car parts. But he still didn’t seem to care. He said that it was too late and that there was nothing we could do. He said that he had already spent too much money and that we were stuck in this situation.
I was heartbroken and angry. I couldn’t believe that my husband had put us in this situation and that he still didn’t seem to care.
I knew that the only way out of this was to somehow find a way to pay off our bills. But I had no idea how we were going to do that.
