Dr Tan first captured hearts when he posted a video of himself explaing how his glasses do not have lenses because he was afraid people wouldn’t recognise him if he stopped wearing them – to which his followers dubbed him a “hypebeast”.
To which Dr Tan adorably replied: “Thank you all. This means I have been a Hype Beast person for 10 years. (sic)”
Dr Tan regularly engages with his “online friends” and showed a willingness to connect with youths on the social media platform, learning about new phrases and street lingo from today’s youths.
