The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) said yesterday (5 April) that travelers who are entering Singapore through the land checkpoints from Malaysia, do not need to show a physical copy of their certificate of vaccination.
They said that as long as they have submitted their SG arrival card, their records will be validated backend with MOH.
This comes in the wake of a Whatsapp message circulating about a traveler who claimed that those entering Singapore needed to show a physical copy of their vaccination records.
ICA reiterated that Singaporeans, PRs and long term pass holders who had their vaccinations here, do not need to show a physical copy of their cert.
Foreign visitors and residents who got vaccinated overseas are also not required to show a physical copy of their cert to ICA officers, provided they have successfully uploaded their digital vaccination certs during the submission of their SG Arrival Card.
ICA added that under the current Vaccinated Travel Framework, incoming travellers who recovered from Covid don’t need to provide a recovery memo, “as SG Arrival Card submissions are automatically reflected in our immigration clearance system, travellers need not show proof of their submission to ICA officers.”
They further added that “ICA would like to remind travellers to prepare all necessary documents, such as valid travel documents and submitting SG Arrival Card within three days of arrival before arriving at the checkpoints”.
