According to photos circulating on Social media, a PMD which was parked alongside a beam caught fire and burst into flames.
The incident happened yesterday (April 9) in Bedok North
While the PMD was burning, a resident in the area used a fire extinguisher to put all the flames.
According to SGRV, they claimed that the PMD is illegally modified.

Potential Penalties for unapproved PMD models
If you use an e-scooter/PMD that is not authorised by the LTA, you can be fined up to $10,000 and/or imprisoned for up to 6 months. For repeat offenders, the maximum penalties are doubled. Your e-scooter/PMD may also be impounded and confiscated.
These penalties also apply if your e-scooter/PMD was originally LTA-approved but has since been changed to become non-LTA approved.
