IN-PERSON VISITS TO HOSPITALS & CARE HOMES SUSPENDED UNTIL 3 APRIL

The Ministry of Health (MOH) said that visits to all hospitals and residential care homes will continue to be suspended until 3 April.

The suspension was originally supposed to end on 20 March but has since been suspended further.

MOH said that this move is to relieve the pressure on hospital and nursing home staff who are taking care of the residents there with Covid.

However, the establishments can allow visits for exceptional cases to their discretion and the existing measures for visitor management, including patients who are critically ill.

Patients and residents can still contact their family through telephone or video calls.

The measures will continue to be reviewed by MOH as the situation evolves.
