INCOMING TRAVELERS FROM TAIWAN NO NEED SHN IF C0VID TEST NEGATIVE

MOH said in a press release that incoming travellers from Taiwan will not have to serve a Stay Home Notice if their Covid-19 test is negative, on their arrival to Singapore.

This new measure will take effect from 8 August onwards, after consideration of Taiwan’s improved pandemic situation.

Travellers from Taiwan were previously required to serve a 14-day SHN at either a dedicated facility of their place of residence, accompanied with 2 PCR tests during their arrival and before their SHN ends.

Short term visitors who have a history of travel to Taiwan within the last 21 days prior to their departure for Singapore, can apply for entry into Singapore via an Air Travel Pass on 12 August onwards.

A PCR test will be taken upon their arrival and if it is negative, they can go about their plans in Singapore.

Those who are already serving their 14-day SHN as of 7 August, 2359hrs, will still need to complete their SHN.
