Bishop Franco Mulakkal of Jalanhar who is accused of raping a nun in India has tested positive for the COVID 19 virus.

Mulakkal was arrested on September 21, 2018 after be accused of raping a nun on more then 13 occasions between 2014 and 2016.
The nun is a member of the Punjab-based Missionaries of Jesus congregation and it was stated that the attacks took place in Kuravilangad.
Mulakkal’s trial has been delayed on several occasions due to the outbreak of the Covid virus. But his recent bail request was cancelled which led to the satisfaction of many people in the country.
